RSHE Statutory Guidance -  Parent Information and Consultation

As you know, from communications before the summer, we would value your views on our RSHE policy.

Our draft policy, along with all corresponding information has been on our homepage on our website for your reading.  We opened up the consultation period in June, where we held two consultation evenings for you to learn all about the changes that the government have made to the teaching of RSHE.

Our consultation period will be ending on Friday 18th September 2026.

After the closing date, we will: summarise the feedback received  and publish the final policy.

Please take time to read the policy and changes and complete the form to share your views.

Parents and carers can access:

An audio recording of the RSHE presentation shared with parents in June.
A parent information booklet explaining the key aspects of RSHE and what this means for pupils.
An overview of our RSHE curriculum, including what is taught in each year group.
Our RSHE policy, which outlines our approach, principles and statutory requirements.
The Department for Education’s statutory guidance, which provides the national framework for RSHE teaching.

We encourage all parents and carers to take the time to read through these documents and familiarise themselves with our approach.  We value the views of our school community and welcome feedback as part of our consultation process, ensuring that our RSHE curriculum continues to meet the needs of our pupils while reflecting statutory expectations.
